With the advancement of technology, the model aircraft we once knew has become a valuable tool for military and commercial applications. On August 29, 2016, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) formally established the licensing requirements for using small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) – more commonly known as “drones” - for commercial application.
My name is David Cheng the owner and founder of David’s Drone Imaging Services. I have always had a professional interest in aviation and information technology as a software developer in air transportation business. Furthermore, photography and videography are my long-time hobby since my youthhood. This development by the FAA of formalizing the commercial use of drones captured my interest.
On February 15, 2017, I received an FAA sUAS pilot license and launched David’s Drone Imaging Services. While drones can be deployed in a vast array of applications, I’ve equipped, in addition to the cine/photo camera, my drones also have Near-infrared (NIR) and Thermal Imaging capabilities in order to better serve in the areas of agriculture, real estate, and property inspection.
It is my mission and goal to provide a safe and efficient imaging service to achieve my client’s objectives.
